On September 1, 2024, NaNoWriMo issued a new statement on AI that aggressively condemns those who do not support utilizing it to write original work, calling those of us who believe in human talent over artificial regurgitation “classist and ableist,” and alludes to the erroneous belief that disabled writers can’t write without AI.
