Well said. I’ve been slogging around long enough to remember writing for sites like Helium and Associated Content (which became Yahoo! Voices) They were going to pay out forever…both gone now. Medium and Vocal prove someone will always step in and fill that void and there will be times of financial windfall, but for writers today the pennies from heaven usually end up being just that: pennies. Write because you love it, not because you think you’ll get stupid rich doing it.
