…rt of my faith is accepting this, whilst clinging to the core essentials of what the Bible teaches. I also believe the Bible itself can become an idol to Christians, as it is there to provide guidelines, not as a substitute for an actual relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Reading the Bible without the latter is a bit like reading a cake recipe instead of eating the cake.
