Totally get this. Even worse is the person you run into who not only insists on sitting with you but wants to hold a running commentary during the film.

I miss the days (and this was decades ago) when almost no one went to the theater on Thanksgiving or Christmas day. After I had had enough of the family chaos I would sneak off and see a film in blissful solitude.
