Throwback Thursday: Would Jesus Drink a Beer on the Beach?

Last week I published my first Throwback Thursday article in a few months, and I fully intended to not do another one until October. I like the idea of giving an older story another shot at life (however briefly), but it’s best to do it judiciously. I would actually prefer that every one of you reading this go back and read every article I’ve written since I started here in early 2021, but that’s as unlikely as Springsteen finally playing at my next birthday party.

The reason I’m doing one again today rather than in October is simple: while I was searching through some older stories trying to organize them into lists, I came across one from over a year ago that I really enjoyed writing and that received quite a bit of feedback. However, when it was first published in May of last year I had I had 4,259 followers, while today I have 17,162, so a lot of my current followers likely never saw it. This is your chance to both read it and comment if you’ve not seen it before.

It’s not an article about history, or music, or even a rant. It’s about a question people have asked for two thousand years: “Would Jesus drink a beer on the beach?” Inquiring minds want to know:
