Throwback Thursday: Three Myths About the Vietnam War Most People Still Believe
This one got more comments than any of my other articles
I haven’t done a Throwback Thursday article for the past few months, in part because they don’t seem to drive views to an older piece in the way I had hoped. The reason I’m dusting the idea off again this morning is that the article I’m highlighting is the one that received the most comments of any of the 850 I’ve written here over the past two years.
I also have nearly 10K more followers now than I did a year ago. As has been the case for most us, somehow that spike in followers has coincided with a massive drop in the number of views, which makes no sense at all to me. I am not going to rant about that nonsense again, though.
In any case, 2023 marks 50 years since the end of American involvement in the Vietnam War, and that involvement continues to be hotly debated today. The article I wrote a year ago generated a wide range of comments, much like people’s view of the war itself does. For those of you who’ve never read it, you can do so below:
