Throwback Thursday: Ten Classic Comedy Films You Must See Before You Die

We need some laughs after the past few weeks

It’s been a tough few weeks here in America (hell, it’s been a tough few years), and as I was hammering away on a new rant this morning, I thought maybe the best way to start the day was to instead step back and write something a little more uplifting. The problem is, I don’t feel very uplifting right now, and short of posting a funny cat video, that just wasn’t going to happen, especially with the rant roiling around in my brain.

Fortunately, both for me and for you, the writing gods have once again solved this dilemma with the calendar; it’s Thursday, which means I can use the thing everyone loves to hate, a Throwback Thursday article. For those of you who silently asked yourself if this nonsense will ever end, I can assure I’ll stop these at the same time I stop the Rate-A-Record series and stories about Springsteen. In other words, three weeks from never.

Finding the right story to resurrect was another challenge, as I have written far more rants than I have “uplifting” stories. I finally gave up on uplifting and settled for pointing you to funny instead, specifically ten comedy films everyone needs to see before they shuffle off this mortal coil. Thus, I give you this:
