Throwback Thursday: Five Classic Christmas Films Made Better With a Higher Body Count

We’re less than two weeks from Christmas and though I have tried, I have been completely unable to get into the spirit yet. I’ve listened to so many Christmas songs I want to strangle an elf, watched Christmas films from It’s a Wonderful Life to The Godfather and only come away wishing (as always) that Sonny Corleone had stayed off the causeway, and even written out actual Christmas cards. Nothing.

It has now reached a critical point because this Sunday is the third Sunday of Advent, also known as Gaudete Sunday. Gaudete is the Latin word for “rejoice,” which means I need to get my holiday spirit fixed, pronto. It’s so bad that I started looking through my old articles, hoping to find something from the Ghost of Christmas Stories Past that would inspire me.

Silly, silly, stupid Paco. I was clearly just as grumpy at Christmas three years ago as I am today, because the first story I found was this one:
