There are several good ones out there, but I took my specific numbers on draftees and education level from some government and veterans resources. Books can be a little more dicey, as most authors who lived through the war years seem to push one side of the story or the other, depending on their personal experiences. It may take another generation before we get a totally dispassionate accounting.
