It’s Monday, which by its very definition means today sucks already. I was struggling with an important piece on a major historical event when I saw that Pierce McIntyre had thrown down yet another writing prompt. Normally I admire that kind of relentless tenacity, but because it’s Monday I was mainly just irritated.

Though not irritated enough to ignore the challenge, apparently.

The prompt looked both simple and straightforward: 10 quick questions to help readers get to know you better. Readers already know me pretty well, I think, but I figured if nothing else it would get my brain working this morning. Also, it wasn’t a Pierce original; he blatantly stole the idea from his wife Penelope Mayfield, who had stolen it from Linda Ng. I will link to their infinitely more informative and uplifting pieces at the end.

1. Favorite drink?
Coffee when I am poor; coffee with Bailey’s Irish Creme when I am only semi-poor.

2. Favorite color?
