It has become impossible to escape the talk about ChatGPT lately. The questions surrounding the newest technological marvel seem to break into three broad categories (and I have answers to all three):

  1. Will it be the salvation of mankind? No, that’s been done already; we celebrated the anniversary of the event last month.
  2. Will it destroy mankind? No, we can do that without any help.
  3. Will it make our kids a generation of illiterates? No, that ship pretty much sailed a while ago.

What no one is asking is more important than any of those three things: what does ChatGPT have to say about Bruce Springsteen? Below, I correct this grievous error with ten questions about the Poet Laureate of the Western Hemisphere.
