Somehow, it has been 23 years since the attacks on September 11, 2001; an entire generation has grown up only knowing that tragic event as something that happened before they were born. For those of us who remember it like it was yesterday, the date will forever be a mix of emotions: sadness at the many we lost and admiration for the countless heroes who sacrificed so much to save many others.

One of those heroes was a man named Rick Rescorla, and I wrote about his story last year. I am sharing the link today for those who may not have read it, because the story of the man and his selfless heroism is one we all need to know.
