It’s time again for the regular roundup of my favorite articles from the past month or so, and this one has been the most difficult. The difficulty does not stem from a lack of quality stories, but from a combination of Medium madness and personal ineptitude. I’m sure neither of those things surprise anyone.
Medium’s role in thwarting my efforts is well documented across the platform, as the decapitation of the profile heads of those I follow has made catching every story cumbersome and made it far more likely that one that should be here was inadvertently missed. My own shortcomings are equally unforgivable: I set up a list specifically to drop in stories that grabbed me over the month and then failed to use the damn the thing. Mea culpa.
I soldiered on regardless, though more naps in between searches were necessary this time around. Despite these setbacks, it appears that I have again beaten Simon Dillon and his imperial minions, Reginald the Rigorous and Millicent the Malevolent, to publication in our ongoing contest that he steadfastly refuses to acknowledge even exists.
