I’m probably going to be in the minority by agreeing with you. Looking back at the films (I enjoyed all of them), I find that I liked The Dark Knight mostly because of Ledger’s Joker; I think he deserved the Oscar, untimely death or no. But I loved The Dark Knight Rises across the board. The casting was excellent (Hathaway IS Catwoman and should have had her own movie). And call me a sentimental sap, but for me the ending was perfect.
