I tell people that when I was 18 my mother was the dumbest person on the planet, yet somehow every year since then she has gotten exponentially smarter. She's now 81, and has had the joy of hearing me say "umm, you were right about (insert whatever here)." The most recent time was about a week ago...I'm a slow learner. Maybe I'll live long enough to hear it from my kids.
