I completely agree.

…mmediately after they are mentioned in Revelation chapter 1), I typically take a more literal view. None of this the-church-is-the-spiritual-Israel replacement theology nonsense, for instance. When the Bible says Israel, it means Israel and when it says the church it means the church. I see no need to tie myself up in unnecessary and frankly anti-Semitic interpretive knots.
