How in the world can they use the Smiths?

… politicians using songs from British singers without understanding the real meaning and messages - the Smiths and the Jam to mention two of many.
Interesting, in the UK we love the Boss too but didn't have this problem with BITUSA, obviously.

How in the world can they use the Smiths? "Sweet and Tender Hooligan" just doesn't seem like a winning campaign song :)
