For me, yes. Pretty much every song that I consider “great" has some personal moment attached, however minor it might be. One example: I sort of liked Los Lobos, but until a friend dragged me to a concert in Fort Worth in (I think) ’94, there was no real connection for me. Seeing them live, with friends, in a small venue, made the music a memory rather than just a good song on the radio.
