Five Cool But Unlikely Superhero Tag Teams That I Want to See Happen
The comedy factor would be high
Yesterday was National Superhero Day, for which I did the obligatory superhero post. I was preparing to move on to my next rant and/or Springsteen article when I received a one-two punch from Pierce McIntyre and Eric Pierce (KAPOW!). In the span of a few hours, they dropped two superhero-related pieces on me; Pierce ranked his favorite Batman (Batmen?) while Eric ranked the ten greatest superhero movies. You should check both of them out.
Given that my post for Superhero Day was simply a recap of a few earlier MCU stories, after reading those two pieces I felt compelled/inspired/shamed into making it a trifecta with an idea that’s been rattling around my brain for a while: unlikely superhero tag team combos that would be flat-out awesome. Batman and Robin are fine, but let’s add some kick to the mix. Here are five I really want to see.
The Batman and Harley Quinn. This matchup (like some others I will mention here) is tied not just to the characters but also to who is portraying the characters; in this case, Robert Pattinson’s Batman teamed with Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.
