Excellent article. I have a daughter finishing college this year, and the only reason she is not in the same position is that in my state she’s been able to use my unused GI Bill money for much of her costs. Even with that her loans are more than I paid for my entire degree 30 years ago. As a veteran, I have a suggestion for the powers that be: build one less aircraft carrier or missile system that doesn’t work anyway and wipe out the debt. America will be stronger if you do.
