Agreed, though I enjoyed the Branagh version.

…ney Lumet’s star-studded adaptation is the first Poirot adaptation to have serious cinematic clout. It is also, I think, the best Poirot film overall, and significantly superior to the later adaptation by Kenneth Branagh. Other TV versions of this tale (the 2001 version with Alfred Molina, for instance) don’t come close…
